How would you describe therapy with you?

When you step into my office you will be warmly greeted in a judgement-free setting. The therapeutic process starts with a through assessment to really get to know who you are and where you are at, because the issues you have don’t define who you are as a person. We will work together to identify the problem areas and employ the therapeutic process to foster growth.

My Passions and Specialties:

I am passionate about practicing therapy from a person-centered approach, using narrative therapy to separate you from your issues and rewrite the story of your life to reflect who you truly are. I believe the therapeutic process needs to be direct, honest, and specifically tailored to the nuances of you and your situation. In an effort to best facilitate that growth, I have trained in therapeutic theories including CBT, DBT, EFT, and Gottman therapy for couples.

My specialties include dealing with:

  • Identity

  • Sexuality and Gender

  • Depression

  • Bipolar Disorder

  • Anxiety

  • Intimacy

  • Sexual Disfunction

  • Addiction

  • Self-Exploration

  • Trauma

  • Stress Management

  • Communication

My Personal Journey:

There isn’t much I haven’t seen. As a trauma survivor myself, I have performed therapy in psych wards, prisons, and women’s health clinics. I truly believe my experiences have instilled a deep and authentic sense of empathy towards those on personal journeys of healing, and a dedication to the therapeutic process. My early education focused on women’s studies, sexuality and gender, and social justice issues. I received my Master’s Degree from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas, where I proudly work on the Austin STRONG: Relationship Building Center team.

Starting your journey on the therapeutic process can be intimidating, but I am here to guide you on the process to meaningful growth.
